Anybody elso notice that the biggest 'specialist' camera chain in the UK doesn't even seem to advertise on their website that there is a Pentax cashback offer on. This brings the cost of a K20D with kit lens to £479.99 compared with £429.99 for Canon 450D + lens by Jessops prices (including cashback). Of course people have specific requirements for DSLR's but have you felt the quality of the Canon compared with a K20D?

They're not so shy about other cashback deals from Canon, Sony and perhaps surpisingly Olympus.
Of course Jessops can do as they please, but this is nothing short of pure favouritism. It's just a shame that Jessops is where most of the dSLR newcomers go for their first camera and "advice".

Actually its probably not favouritism as such, more like the fact all the others pay a lot to Jessops for putting the cashback deals on their site whereas Pentax probably dont have that sort of money to spend on advertising.

If people only would do some research for theirself and not look at the bodies alone but also at the lenses that they are probable going to buy.
They won't even hold a Pentax I believe if no one would suggest it to them. Alot of starters don't even look for another system then the one their uncle or friend has, if they have it it must be good right

It would be a very good stunt for a sales man to wash a Pentax under the tap before giving it to the customer to try it, that might convince some
