Anorther good point about it was they only charge for the carpark, which was £3 for all day. Admission was free of charge. That had some lovely gardens there as well, and some woods as well. It's a really good day out, if there is any one from the West Wales side who would like a lift I would be willing.

It was. I went with the idea it would give the kids something to do, but found I really enjoyed it as well. And the photographic subject there was amazing. It's over 2 hours from home for me, but it's a trip well worth doing again.
I just thought it maybe a nice idea to share it with other members and see if we could do a meet.

It's fairly local for me & I have been there a few times. I notice they've added a woodland walk recently too which may be good for the twitchers among us.
It's not far to Cardiff Bay from there either which is good for architecture & people watching.
I doubt you'll be able to get a proper meet off the ground as there aren't that many members nearby, but I'd be interested. Especially if you bring that 14-24mm for me to play with

It was quiet when I went last & was dissapointed to find the blacksmith had finished for the day. I'd also like to catch the baker in action. Some of the buildings are cracking, the trick is trying to capture a shot that cannot be dated by modern dress/signs etc.
Did you spot this guy ? Friendliest Ram I've ever encountered. Shot with the DA 14mm.

It would be nice if we could get a few people there. There's a few who have said it's a good idea on the survey, so here's hopeing.

The more bodys the better, I'll be bring both of my systems anyway. RR wants to have a play with my 12-24mm so I'll have to bring that anyway. I like his idea of combineing it with the bay as well.

Freudian slip there, the 14-24mm you mean. I'd like to see the 70-200 in action too if you're packing it I've only got a few primes at present, but you're welcome to try them out.
The bay is nice if you get the right light & you can get a half decent coffee there too. (Or pint if you're not driving)
Would you like to suggest a date or two then maybe we can get some more interest ?

Yes that is what I mean(Old age catching up with me), I'll have a look at their website and see if I can get a few dates from when different events may be taking place.

Also has a working blacksmith and all the old style shops. I had a great day, but I had forgotten my camera (which left me gutted as there was so much there.).
Here's the link if anyone wants a look.
