Morning all,

Shot this last week in a park in Cheltenham, looked like it was in a bed set aside for wild flowers and kind off unkempt, I think it may be a Poppy of some sorts, but would like to either know its Latin name, or the English equivalent please.

Both with K1 and 100mm WR Macro handheld

Thanks also to Johnx, having goggled both names, I'm not sure either of those are correct by doing an online comparison with the uploaded images !

Thanks JAK, but there's no layering to the petals where there looks to be on an anemone

Have you got a photo that puts it in context with the rest of the plant including showing its leaves?

Hi John, unfortunately not, I was hoping the overall flower would be enough

Oh well, perhaps someone knows.
If not try a dedicated plant site such as https://www.shootgardening.co.uk/plant/identify
