Here is a link to an album on flickr from my Icelandic Adventure with Jon and Ralph.
All taken with either K3 or IR converted K01.
Fantastic trip, and a super country to visit.

WOW! These shots are stunning. I think you made the right choice in taking the converted K-01 as that camera has produced some eye-popping shots. Do you mind me asking a few questions?

- Where did you get the K-01 converted and how much did it cost?

- I notice a lot of shots with the DA15 Ltd., but also some that look as though they were shot with old lenses. Which legacy glass did you use?

- How long did you spend in Iceland?

Thanks for sharing these images, they are beautiful.

Regards
David

Cheers Guys,

Andy, if you ever get the chance, jump at it, the country is awesome, seriously.

David, thank you , in reply
I bought the camera converted, from the states, a guy called Isaac Szabo, he does IR conversions, but as the shipping costs from Ireland to the states and then back to Ireland were prohibitive, he sourced a mint K01 with 2000 shots on it and converted it for me. Total cost to me was €397. Really excellent service, dust free conversion and a mint camera. He was recommended by a couple of people on the American forum

The lenses i had, were not many. I brought the 15mm ltd, M 28mm f3.5, K 35mm f3.5, M 35-70mm f2.8-3.5 and an M 150mm f3.5.
Just about all the IR shots were with the M 28mm, a couple with the K 35mm,
Puffins with the M 150mm
Most landscapes with the 15mm but some with the 28mm and 35mm
We spent 4 days in Iceland, (you would need a week) just so much to see.
I was up taking photos at 06.00 every morning and still taking them at 12 midnight to make the most of the time i had there.
I went with Ralph Hardwick and Jon Bowles, Ralph is in the process of setting up a photography tour of Iceland and we were doing a Recce for it. The final product that he will be offering will be savage.

I would return again with Ralph in a heartbeat if i had half a chance.

Thanks K10D

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask
Thanks for looking

Some magnificent shots there - what an astonishing place!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
