Iceland - Westfjords

Nice set there. This showed up on my Facebook feed, having previously followed Ricoh UK.

Having now (finally) visited Milford Sound, I'm impressed at how similar this looks and feels to that area of New Zealand. Has a Queenstown vibe to some of them.

Well shot. I'm impressed at how you've found and composed some of the natural flows in the terrain. Good stuff.

Thanks Rich and Maria... much appreciated... yes, a remarkable place... haven't had the pleasure yet of Milford Sound Rich (only managed the North Island so far in your neck of the woods), but I'll be doing my level best to get there at some point if I possibly can...

What a place! Certainly on my bucket list of places to visit! The set as a whole is fabulous with plenty of diversity in subjects and mood. Had to pick just one image but I do really like No.12, the big sweeping line that starts nearly corner to corner slicing the image in half but with similar hues in the mountain and the one in the distance plus the softening of the low clouds, they then blend together. I like the white dots on the landscape also, not sure what they are but they add nice foreground detail that lead you into the scene to the mountain in the distance. There's detail in the sky also, wondering what it'd be like if it was processed to make it really dramatic looking?

Only just seen these Bill - great set - all are really good. No 5 was the one that stood out for me as I scrolled down; however I could easily pick another fav on another scroll. what a fantastic opportunity and photographically speaking you took it well!

Thanks Gareth and Andy... much appreciated... Gareth, thanks for thoughts on 12... the white dots are haybails (pretty much everywhere around the Westfjords in the summer)... I probably wouldn't push the sky much further in colour, but you've got me thinking... I might have a look at a high contrast b&w... thanks for the suggestion...
