If the b*****s get caught will you be allowed to put some of those more alarming spiders down their trousers?

Spiders and venomous snakes sounds like a good idea But i was thinking more along the lines of staking them out on a bull ants nest in 35degree heat with thier eyelids removed

There is something to be said for the Saudi way too. Cut their bloody hands off.
It is high time we stopped pussy-footing about with such scum in the west, or we will lose the freedoms that we all cherish.

One of the Western freedoms I cherish is not having my hands cut off. There is something to be said for the Saudi way too. Cut their bloody hands off.

Real sorry to hear about that.
It's also an invasion of your personal space.
I often wonder who raises these pieces of crap.
Hope they catch the bastards.
Cheers, RG.

One of the hardest challenges after having your home (and therefore your Family) violated, is to recognize that healing and forgiveness is a gift you give to yourselves, (not the person who robbed you). If you give that criminal the power to change your lives, and change who you are, then you lose something more valuable than some worldly goods.
I, personally have a method of dealing with such matters...
I take sensible measures to prevent...if that fails, I hunt them down....
A) if I find them...I find out why....if it was greed, I take back my stuff, or something of equal value, by ANY means necessary.
B) if it was desperation (like trying to feed their kids after some bad luck) I call it charity and call it a day.
C) If I don't find them, I try to believe it was B rather than A.

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I like your attitude Don, but sadly, in all probability the theft was to feed a drug habit, not children.B) if it was desperation (like trying to feed their kids after some bad luck) I call it charity and call it a day.
Bad luck Clarky. I feel for you. It almost happened to me once. In bed, at 4AM, myself and my family were sound asleep (that's the scary part), somebody removed a double glazed unit from a kitchen window. Fortunately, they hadn't reckoned on coming face to face with my dog who started barking at that point, and leggged it.

Don,
Sorry, no excuses.
1. If by some remote possibility I found the garbage, I wouldn't be asking any questions as to why they did it. I don't care.
2. If they broke into my home and I was present, there would be no interview, other than with the police as to why I shot them. The simple answer, because I felt our lives were threatened. End of story.
An invasion of our home, or our person is just that.
I feel very sorry for Clarky, but at least the morons didn't take his camera gear.
RG.

I knew that no good would come of shipping all those criminals off to Australia.

I'd like to take this opportunity to celebrate some of the values we have in the West, in which I naturally include Australia and New Zealand.I knew that no good would come of shipping all those criminals off to Australia.
Personally, I think this comment is in slightly bad taste, but I know I've said things in the past that I regret, and I also know how difficult it can be to say the right thing in difficult situations, and as a consequence have shoved my foot right into my mouth once or twice in my time.
So living in a glass house as I do, I am in no way throwing stones.
However, it does occur to me that there are other places in the world, where an imagined, rather then actually intended, offence, seems to give rise to the most horrible reactions, and I am very glad I don't live in any of those places.
So, Friday night as it is, I raise my glass to Western Civilisation. It might have its faults, but we don't imprison people, or as some would prefer, shoot them by firing squad, if, as I've been known to, they say or do something that comes across a bit differently from the way they intended.
