Topic title says it all.

I must put hand on heart and confess I have forsaken all I have said about using a camera in machine-gun mode

Taken with the K5 in burst mode (high) Pre-focusing the Bigma and waiting.

Well we don't get hummingbirds here in the UK, so I suppose this is the next best thing! Excellent shot. Machine gun mode is just right for this sort of thing, not cheating at all...

There's a time and place for fast frames per second and this is just one of them. Bet you're glad you tried it Alan.

Aww thank guys, I dont feel so much of a cheat now, does it make any difference that I didn't have my eye to the viewfinder either

It's nee good!..the only thing in focus is the eye!...

Sharp but not frozen - works for me. That must be some camera too, BTW. Not having tried this flying bird caper, how many shots are keepers when it's in 'full auto'?
