I'm sulking

Went to a Vide Grenier (boot sale) this morning. Some one had a Pentax ME super, M 50 mm 1.7, M 80-200 mm with original leather case, cokin square filter holder and a load of filters, a flash unit all in a large leather camera bag with other bits in it for €50,.

I had to walk away and leave it all there.

I'm off to chop some wood with an axe now.

Cheer up Charlotte - you could have bouyght them and found the dreaded fungus or other fault

Should have put a deposit on it and then asked those of us that appreciate your pics for donations. would have happily contributed.

Set up a stall yourself next time and sell your patented macro flash light adapters!

I dont understand in the age of digital. Why anyone would want to purchase a film camera. So much hassle and expense, for at best an equal result.. Expensive films and smelly developing. or more cost in processing houses.. Just an opinion, from someone who has not put a film through his ME super in 15 years..

Now that's an idea JAK but I'd probably get less for them than the pringles cost in the first place. She wouldn't budge on price.

I've never used one so I don't know how much hassle is involved, thanks for putting me off Stuart.

Still at least I have my lba under control any way.

As much as I always liked film, there's something about being able to take a high quality image digitally and have it displayed / printed / circulated just seconds later if required.

I dont agree with any one! I loaded my MX with a 36 pic roll of film a few months ago and had a day out with a 35mm and 135mm prime.
I avoided taking some possible shots because I was thinking I only had one roll of film so better save it for a better shot later, then at the end of the day having taking only 10 pictures! I wanted to fire the rest off but didn't see an opportunity I liked.
Now the film is still sitting in the MX 1/3used and as I couldn't view them when I got home, I now cant be bothered to have it developed.

...and when you do, you'll probably be disappointed with the results, or find that there's something wrong with the best one that you could have fixed straightaway if only you'd seen it then and there

I can imagine that if you have the time and the space to develop and print yourself, it can be an enjoyable experience, but otherwise, meh!

I should probably give my ME Super to someone that would use it...

I love the reassuring feeling that you get with film from
opening the back up every few shots and seeing the film
travel over the sprockets completely undamaged
Nothing like knowing that all you perforations are perfect!
