I posted many months ago about how pentax needs to release a compact with dedicated hotshoe and p-ttl flash to compete with canon's g series... and now nikon has one...
I was posting about the need for a aps-c sized sensor in an evil cam with k-mount, and now this:
link

everybody likes my ideas except Pentax.....

this latest one may be the final temptation to jump brands if it proves true.....

I have soooo many nice Pentax lenses, so few options.... for creative multimedia....

Come on Pentax, yank the G-Dam mirror out of the new k-5, put in a bigger heat sink on the sensor, add an articulated flip out lcd, and make it a simple kmount, throw in a 60mm leaf shutter lens...

I've got Indie films to shoot and millions of dollars to make, just give me a decent tool!
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

There may well be plenty of mirrorless cameras on the market soon, but we'll have to see whether or not they live up to expectations.

Different tools for different jobs Don, so no doubt someone will offer what you are hoping for, but it's a question of how and when.
Best regards, John

Don, if you seriously believe you can make millions, buy the right kit that is available, tried, and trusted, right now. Don't wait for Pentax coz you won't be able to sue them for lost earnings by not being able to use something that they don't/won't/can't make.

well right now the right camera is the RED one... too pricy and no mount for my lenses...
I may have to pull a Stan Kubric/James Cameron and just build the frick'n thing myself....

That's old fashion why not a LCD shutter?

I'm pretty sure the lcd would act like some kind of diffuser.. but those dlp chips that use micro mirrors could work....

Maybe there will be a sensor that just stays on and uses no shutter at all....
