Hello all.
Just want to pick your brains. I have a K3 and a Metz 64 Af-1.
I'd like to fire this flash off camera for some portrait work. Can anyone recommend any wireless triggers that will allow me to do this? HSS and maybe TTL compatible.
Many thanks
Bal 😀

I get good results with a set of cactus v6ii triggers, you'll need 2 thou, one on the camera and one for your metz, I also use a cactus rf80 flash which has a built in receiver.

I use the same triggers as Chris and they work well. Remember that HSS is a P-TTL only mode

Thanks guys. I thought it was only phottix Odin ii that would work but they're rather pricey 😬

Agree, unless he wants to use HSS when he has to use P-TTL, but of course can use compensation

I too have a couple of Cactus triggers I bought off eBay, they can be used with virtually any camera make and flash, except I believe for Sony for which there is a special version. They can also be used as a remote trigger but not at the same time as the flash. As the same unit is used for either transmit or receive the one on the camera can have another flash mounted on top.

I believe they can also be used with studio flashes, Cactus did have one in development with a built-in receiver but it was abandoned.

A word of warning about Pentax flashguns, only very lightly apply the tightening lever on a cold shoe such as on the plastic foot or a tripod adapter. It can be permanently damaged and fail to make contact with a hot shoe as a result of fully tightening it - see p11 of the manual.
