How to Clean the mirror ????

Hi pete - if you only noticed it when you took off a lens the likelihood is that the mark is not big enough to be seen through the viewfinder, and it isn't going to affect the image. I think (if you can live with it) I'd just leave it; the surface of the mirror is more delicate than you'd think
as to where it came from - I've no idea either!

I'm with Mr Ist, the mirror is surface silvered so touching it with anything at all is A Bad Idea (TM).
Remember gunk on mirror or focusing screen wont show up on the pictures, and in fact I would have thought things on the mirror wouldn't even show up in the viewfinder since it will be out of focus, so unless its really major I'd leave well alone.

Hello All,
My first post here!
Pentax have just released a new cleaning kit which has a type of "sticky" sponge which leaves no residue. You can use this to remove the spec from the mirror if it really gets on your nerves!
Or as the previous posters have suggested leave it.

I have just taken off a lense on the K10D and inside the camera i have noticed near the edge of the mirror a slight mark or smudge dont no where its come from as ive never touched the mirror.
Any body tell me the best way to clean this off
