Personally I would sell the camera for "spares or repair" and let someone else have the hassle. Someone may buy it who is prepared to "DIY".

When you think about it £50 for the screen plus fitting and a new one costing what less the £180 body only, as iceblinker said sell it for spares and what you make put against a new one.

Shame about it so what happened ??
It also surprises me today how much spare parts are as the 18-55 mm lens hood I had to replace as a statue fell over and thus broke of the camera good think it was only the damage but it was over CD$40.xx to replace lucky the ART GALLERY owner covered it.
Good luck in what ever you decide.

As to how it happened?
Apparently, as good as the Lowepro Slingshot 200 is, either I had way too much packed in it, or the padding doesn't do as much as I'd like. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really blaming the bag, but hey, I didn't do it...
The bag, packed and zipped, fell a couple feet from a chair to the floor, and landed just right (or wrong I guess ) Maybe something was packed behind the LCD screen or something, I didn't notice...
Anyway, the next time I turned it on, there it was...
Oh well, I've picked up a K20D, and though I didn't need them, the body alone was the same price as the body with both kit lenses... They'll probably be for sale very soon...
Now I just gotta figure out the lens focus adjustment thing - not sure I need it, but I wanna know how to do it anyway...
Broke but happy,
Jamie

Wellll.......
Actually, I was considering sourcing a new screen and attempting to fix it and use it as a backup....
Ask me again in a couple weeks
