It was my birthday recently. Check out this:

My wife took a photo off the web to a local bakery.

If I hadn't taken this with an LX3 I could have entered it in the design icon comp.

Not bad - although there are now machines which will "print" and image on icing using edible food colouring.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Hi.

always and never fails to show the LOVE of the one you love.

I really am impressed by the cake and the effort made, noticed according to the candle count you're only seven!

a tad young to have an LX3
just kidding

hope the cake was delicious!

Not quite the same though it is? A bit like making a water colour by applying a filter in photoshop...

I'll guess a candle a year would make that piece of "art" invincible.
Anyways......congrats and a lot of good years in good health are wished for you from The Netherlands.
Best regards,

Martin.

I would say it could do with just a little sharpening. Good crop though.

Very good.

I think the fact that it has been done by hand makes it more special.

I'm sure I could operate a photo-to-icing machine, but there is no way I could do what is shown in the picture.
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

If it needs any cropping I'd be more than willing to help out!

That crop might be a bit heavy though!

Oh dear, how can you possibly still have your cake and eat it?

Wonderful, to many years more right and there should be a K7 on the next cake or maybe a 645D.

What a way to celebrate, a very kind thing to do. Birthdays are fun even as the candle count increases.

Best wishes

A wonderful surprise! I bet you didn't expect this. Almost a shame to cut it.

Happy Birthday,

Andrew
