I think you paid good money for the lens and so should find a better one. Send it back.

I often sell lenses on ebay and would not think that lens acceptable, unless described as dusty. Send it back, you should get the price and the outbound postage back within the ebay terms, the return postage you must pay.

Wow where were they keeping that? In a bag of flour? A few specs of dust are to be expected with old lenses and don't seems to impact image quality,, but these examples are unbelievable!

the OP's lens isn't 'in very good condition'

A thought is that the seller bought it cheaply because it was full of fungus and did a quick and dirty(!) cleaning job then sold it on at a tidy profit.

Pure speculation though!

Their photo listing categories are:
Quote:
New
New other (see details)
Manufacturer refurbished
Seller refurbished
Used
For parts or not working
Very good condition isn't one of them!

The 'Used' option is:-
Quote:
An item that has been previously used. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or an item that has been returned to the seller after a period of use. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections.
and the 'For parts or not working' option is:-
Quote:
An item that does not function as intended or is not fully operational. This includes items that are defective in ways that render them difficult to use, items that require service or repair, or items missing essential components. See the seller’s listing for full details.
So that lens looks to have been wrongly described

hehe looks like it eh ? No, it was sent rattling loose in its original hard case. The glue under the bottom lining had turned to dust. Cleaned up beautifully.
