Hi Guys,
anyone have a clue for correcting the distortion in the 21 ?
I have the LR4 beta but it hasn't got Pentax in the correction box.
The curves don't normally bother me but stick out in this shot.
Cheers
Pete

When I had this lens, I did the correction manually and saved it as a user preset. It's a very simple correction. You might also want to save the cropping action to get rid of the bowed edges to the shot that will result.

Sounds like a good plan.
Thanks

I have not tried LR4 beta, is it not possible to import / use LR3 Pentax profiles?

No idea sorry Steve. I'm going back to raw therapee and the gimp. Can't stand the depressing grey UI in LR.

I haven't got a clue..never tried it..
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

That would work Don. I rarely use that feature... slows down shooting too much.

mmm good question. I never have it on because of the slow down. Just tried it with a RAW taken earlier. Didn't seem to do anything though didn't try brick wall
Maybe correction only works as shot is taken.

that is what I was wondering..if you set the jpeg up to include lens correction, then go to the RAW file and process it, will it apply the lens correction during the RAW processing?

Had a wee play. The in-camera correction at time of shooting makes an excellent job of it.
Converting to jpg later with correction on didn't seem to do anything.
