How do I keep Iso on 200?

I have a Pentax X90 set on the TV mode, but every time I go to take a picture, i have to go into the settings and change the iso from 800 down to 200. This is annoying, how do I stop this and make sure it stays at 200 please?

You need to go into the ISO section but make sure you save the setting you choose. Don't set auto ISO, have that switched off.

Menu>Sensitivity>set 200>Click OK.

Also:

Menu>Memory>Ensure Sensitivity is ticked. If not click OK to set it and then return to the menu. Now the camera will memorise whatever ISO was last set.

the iso corction (that's how its spelt) is set to 800, should I put that down to 400 please?

I also take the battry out when I am not using it, is that a good idea?

If you set a given ISO and then make sure the memory is set to remember last settings then next time you switch on the setting will be the same.

However, if you take the battery out after a while the memory will be lost, so keep the battery in and charged so the camera is always ready for use. Only take the battery out if the camera is to be unused for months or longer.

Hi thanks for that, I was told if I left the battery in it could leak and ruin the camera.

It just goes to show how well meaning advice can cause other problems! The advice was right, but needed qualifying as to how long the camera would be left unused.

All my cameras have batteries in, fully charged and ready to go, unless they are to be unused for many months, in other words are being stored rather than used.
