Depends on what you want to use though, if you want to use umbrellas, softboxes and other adapters you need something a bit more complicated.
Some shop as above link
I've bought for myself a complete kit a week ago this one link and instead of 43" umbrella a 60" and an reflector.
You might love these guys, they also show their kit on the site link

Gartomore: yes.. I just bought a stand on ebay.
Now, that it done, I should appreciate advice as to what off-camera flash I should get to put on top of this stand. Don't particularly fancy paying all the money for the AF series flashes. Any suggestions, please? I assume that if a half-decent flash is used with the built-in flash, I do not need to connect the flash to the camera?
You've got the stand now you need a couple of more things... first get a powerful manual studio head, you can get good enough cheap ones from China on ebay - I have a couple. Then perhaps a softbox and a white/black brolly. Next you need another stand, hey wait! You've got that broken tripod and you can clamp a relfector holder to it with a 32cm black/white/gold/silver reflector and now you are in serious business and spending less than you would on a new Pentax flash.
How you trigger the flash will depend on what camera you are using. Which is it?
I'm doing some shots on Saturday in my hall at home - I'll post pics of the set-up if you like.
