Taken with the SMC M 50 1.7 bought for a tenner the cheapest lens in the bag by a long way but I just love this lens. Would love to see anyone elses photos with this lens as well.

Nice image, sharp with good dof.
Cetainly shows the value of older lenses, and yet another demonstration of the usefullness of Pentax legacy lenses.

Beautiful picture! Can you remember the settings (aperture)? I don't have an M 50 1.7 unfortunately, only an A 50 mm 1.7, which I don't use often enough.

If you open the picture with a program called Photome link it will give you the data you're looking for. Nice picture whatever the settings.

Thanks, Barrie. I tried that when I first saw the picture, but aperture is one of the settings that isn't displayed when you shoot with an M/A lens.

Sorry lidy, I think you'r right about "M" lenses. However if you'r talking about lenses with the "A" setting, they do show the aperture in Photome. Provided they are set to "A" on the aperture ring.

I also sometimes use an A series 50mm 1.7 lens. Its classy glass. Your pictures proves how sharp it is Ian. There's some of my examples from it in my Photobucket gallery where I used a Hoya close up lens screwed onto the front of it.
