Holiday Snaps

Mark, I agree very much with others on here. You are definately doing yourself a diservice by calling these "holiday snaps".

They are all very good indeed and in particular numbers 4 and 5 appeal to my simple taste.

Any more to come?

Great set Mark. Hope you told the family that if they moved, they wouldn't be seen in these pics because of the 10 stopper

Cheers folks - appreciate the compliments.

There are a few more that I'll put up in a bit. Just a bit busy this afternoon.

Why are alll the pictures I see today so good?

These demonstrate what you get when you marry a great eye for composition with technical mastery of the medium.

Several of these bring to mind Keats, and his phrase "Magic casements, opening o'er the foam".

Lovely.

That's a terrific set of photos, I'd like to tell you my favourite but it's impossible to choose as I like very single one of them!!

These are stunning - great PP and eye for a comp. I wouldn't have expected anything else from you though Mark Superb scenery and light helps too!

Holiday snaps... lol! Way to create an artificially low expectation before delivering a sucker punch

Cheers folks - there are probably only a couple more that are worth putting up. I'm pleased with the response to these as I was on a bit of a downer before I went.

What strikes me is: a) they're all so different in feel and treatment and b) they're of a uniformly high standard. I'd have been particularly proud to have taken the second one.
Best wishes,

Andrew

If there are more of this ilk on the memory card/HDD, then, in the words of young Oliver, "Please, sir, I want some more."

Why the dickens did you think we'd be bored :

Thanks John and Andrew. I'll sort out some more, but unfortunately I seem to have misplaced two days of pics. God knows what I've done with them as I was transferring them to the laptop daily.
