Terrific set, Kris. Very different to the ones I took today. I'm particularly drawn to Walker and Avenue. There's a dream-like, filmic quality to the former.

The first two for me - the fence looks like it has another section of wire netting not too far behind it - sets up a very fine pattern!

I love the Walker. I think I'd have made the mistake of focusing on the walker, which would have been wrong. I love the wy he is just out of focus.

Walker for me too, that's a classy shot. +1 to Father Ted's comments too, I would have made the same mistake.
I guess these are all quite close to your flat Kris (I recognise that tree!), but my shoulder aches just thinking about all the lenses you appear to carry around with you

Thanks all for the kind comments about the walker image. It was snap decision to try focusing on the foreground branches rather than the walker. I have tried toning the image but cannot decide if I prefer the straight conversion or the toned one. What do you think?
BTW, there was almost a disaster when I was taking the photos of the ponies. While I was concentrating on one of the ponies, one of the others tried to eat my LX...

I'm rather pleased to say that three of these images (out of the four I submitted) were accepted to the PPG. Typically, for me, all the monochrome ones were accepted. In fact, six of my last eight acceptances were in monochrome, and the only image rejected in the last nine I submitted was in colour! Whilst thinking of numbers six of those eight were taken using old manual glass, and half of them were shot on film.

The toned image is just right, Kris, very "cool" in feel- I mean that literally not metaphorically!
