Number 1 is spectacular, is it frost on the tree's in number 2?

Scotland isn't all about mountain scenery. There's also dramatic industry.
No. 1 is Ben More and Stob Binnein, near Crianlarich.
No. 2 is hoar frost in Glen Dochert.
No. 3 is modern industry, Central Scotland.

Number one is great, but I cannot get away with the cooling tower. I think it looks dis-jointed maybe because the tower and the flare stack appear out of nowhere.

tsk, tsk, Aberdeen Angus are black and dont have horns, these are Highland Cattle and one of the breeds which made up the Texas Longhorn because of their ability to be driven long distances on poor grass.VERY nice David, is that Aberdeen Angus in the second shot? they make lovely Burgers

Just superb, David. I particular like the first one. Will you make a lovely big print of it? It's certainly worth it: you could go up there for weeks on end and not capture a shot like that!

Thanks for all your comments. Alan (Spider), Ken (Gartmore) those are deff. Highland Cattle not Aberdeen Angus. I think they are sometimes called Kylies. Long horns, long hair to keep the cold out.
The freezing temparatures gave me a lucky break with atmospheric conditions. I was just as excited by the atmosphere at Grangemouth for the industrial scene as I was in Glen Dochart for the mountains and frost. I know not everyone is turned on by cooling towers and chimneys but I find the man made environment just as photographically rewarding as the natural landscape. Alan and Pentaxophile appreciate that one at least. It was worth getting quizzed by security and police officers for photographing a massive petro chemical complex.

Winter in the Scottish Highlands was spectacular this week. These two were taken on my way to Rannoch Moor. C+C welcome.
