Hi, I'm Neil and live in Whitehill, Hampshire.

I would be using my K20D only whilst photographing the limestone pavement on Twistleton Scar (Yorkshire Dales) one of the locks on my tripod's legs came undone sending my camera crashing to the deck. It tore the lens clean off and according to the shop, has damaged the view finder and card reader. On their recommendation it has to go back to Pentax for assessment/repairs. It looks as though my home and contents insurance will cover it, here's hoping. In the meantime it's back to my old Ist DL2 which I had given to my 10 year old daughter to use under supervision.

I've just heard from my home and contents insurers that my claim is being settled and that they are sending a cheque out, what a relief
