Hi from a newbie

Hi all

As I’ve just registered on this forum, I thought I’d take a few moments to introduce myself.

I’ve dabbled in photography from my teenage years, though never really more than holiday shots and family events. Going back 10 years or so I moved from a Canon AE1p (a present from an uncle who purchased the camera for himself, but never got to grips with the technology) to Pentax (MZM and MZ30).

I sort of got out of the habit of photography until about 18 months ago when I purchased a Caterham 7. I got a K10D for recording scenes from our various car tours around the UK. Buying the Caterham has really re-ignited my interest in photography and I always have the camera with me whenever I go out in the car. I’m a member of the Lotus7 club and a fairly prominent poster on their forum, Blatchat. Our club produces a monthly magazine, to which I regularly contribute photo’s as well as articles describing our travels. One of my shots made front cover a couple of months ago - something I’d been trying to bag for a while now!

Anyhow, I’m off to browse this site in a bit more depth now, get my sig sorted out and maybe even upload an image or two.

Hello Steve,
I used to have a Caterham 7 too but had to sell it three years ago, when I became a full time carer, as money was short. I was a member of the Lotus Seven Club but didn't renew my membership after I sold my Caterham. I still look at BlatChat each day to keep up with what is happening and recognised your log in name. I'll look forward to seeing more of your Caterham 7 photos in the future.

Liked the Lake District series - and it looks like you took the same route up Haystacks that I did back in the Spring. A few in this gallery with very similar viewpoints so some of yours. A cracking walk, that.
