Sounds an idea, but don't be in any hurry - the K-5 new prices will fall a lot more than used K-7 prices. Meantime, enjoy your kit and decide whether to upgrade now or if the next upgrade might offer even more (there'll probably be a completely new body next time, whereas the K-5 is really a K-7 2.0). And see how the 18-135mm reviews.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I agree with the above, hang on to your new camera and practice. In the future, when prices begin to drop and you feel the K5 + 18-35mm is better, then change. In MHO, unless you are doing a lot of shooting, one month is not really very long to fully appreciate and understand the kit you've got. Whichever choice you make, best of luck and I look forward to seeing some superb picture posts.

It's only once you've had a good while to play with the K7 that you can get a true picture of what feature suit your style. I had my K100 for ~10 months, and can think of a few features I'd like to add (increased ISO range, liveview, high resolution sensor...) but for most work it's quite adequate - perhaps I'll upgrade next year.

Greetings and welcome. IMHO keep what you have for a while, as other people have said, it takes a while to get used to what you have, still learning with my k-m 15 months on!

I just bought K7 one month ago and became a pentax user. I'm just an amateur.
Right now I'm thinking if I can sell my K7+1650 and buy a new K5 with 18-135mm. Can anybody give me some suggestions? Cheers.
