The adaptors are a bayonet T mount with 42mm thread attached directly to the camera and then a telescope adaptor for a 1.25" eyepiece screws into the T mount and then the whole lot is connected to the eyepiece section of the telescope. This makes the telescope very unbalanced!
Shim,
I'll post some pictures of the telescope and the camera in combination so you can see how unwieldy it can be.
Thanks for your comments, I'll post one of swans which were about 175yds distant, tomorrow.
cheers.

I'll look forward to that. Impressive to see that there's no purple fringing, although I don't think mirror lenses suffer to much from it.

My Meade ETX125 stargazing telescope has been unused for some time until I bought the adaptors and fitted my K100D.
Yesterday I went out and used it in anger for the very first time. Took it to the local nature reserve and played around with it. Took some 400 shots and only about 20 were worth keeping.
This is one that came out reasonably sharp. The bird is about 75yds away! The scope has a prime focus magnification of about x72 and it is very difficult to work with.
The image in the viewfinder is upside down and left/right is reversed. Depth of field is very shallow and so any moving objects are almost impossible to get in focus. Scope wobble and neck ache are major problems. Fair C&C welcome!
