Reminded me of my trip to Curacao last year.
We were taking some shots of the water spouts that occur at one spot on the volcanic coast line.
A S African wandered up and started talking - he had walked there and after one shot his camera failed - his batteries had run out. I happened to have about 120 in the car and went at got a couple for him - he wanted to pay but had no money but I was not worried.
Later that evening, sitting in a restaurant a waiter brought over a decent bottle of wine - from the same S African. Unfortunately what followed on resulted in a massive hangover the next morning.
The moral - help if you can, you never know how it will repay you in the end.
