Wow, that's terrible, some very nice gear to lose in that way.
Do you have the serial numbers and have you reported the theft? I believe there are online services which can track camera usage by detecting the serial numbers in EXIF data of uploaded images, it might be worth a look into. You might also try Gumtree (just had a look there - didn't see anything) or look into pawn shops in the area.

I've got all the boxes somewhere with the paperwork, just need to find them. I don't throw any of that stuff away. Hopefully the serial number is on something. I put my name into the metadata settings for the camera so all the photos taken with it are tagged with my name. It had a red OpTech camera strap attached to it and was in a LowerPro holster-type camera bag.
Thanks folks, it's a real pain. It was my favourite digital camera by a very large margin that did everything I wanted it to.
Cheers, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Would it be worth speaking to used equipment retailers like MPB/Wex about it?
All the gear with no idea

Not sure. I think most of them were downloaded but I'm rubbish at deleting them off the card until the card starts getting full...

Ouch!!! There's a serial number database on the other forum (link). It might be worth adding your serial numbers to the list.
Presumably you've reported the theft to the police? I doubt if they'll get the blue lights and sirens going for a camera, but if it's part of a pattern of thefts it might help them to find the culprit.

Sorry to hear this Kris.
The term scumbag comes to mind rather than thief.
Best regards and wishing you good luck in the event of tracing any sale.

I know it doesn't help in getting your kit back, but is it insured? If not with special insurance then your household contents insurance might cover it.
Best regards, John

Just thinking the same this morning - CeX seem to have a lot of Pentax equipment.

It might have been mentioned previously but once you've logged it with the police you should receive a reference number that you can give to an outlet if the kit pops up online. Ideally they'd take the listing down immediately and get the police to investigate.
The insurance company would also want to see it logged.

Hertfordshire,
mostly.
If anyone sees a rather worn looking K3iii for sale, especially if it comes with a 31mm Ltd please let me know? It'll probably be from someone in Hertfordshire. I'm keeping an eye on ebay but am not on Facebook. Not sure where else to check.
Thanks, Kris.
