I had the same issue once when I bought an E-book online.
What I do now is just email it to myself to my gmail address so I allways have a copy online

Nonetheless, the guide contained much that was useful, so perhaps there is a benefit to Canons after all.
If anyone can tell me the filename of the guide, I will be able to do a search and find it.
