I currently own two zooms, and trying to recover my interest in photography, which I nearly had forgotten:
Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5
Tamron 24-135mm F3.5-5.6
Quite similar, indeed, but both very pleasant to use.
They have served me well for some years.

If you keep your eyes open there is quite trade here in older gear. You could even say what you are looking for in particular.

Thanks for the welcome, davem. And yes, you are right, I should have mentioned my preferences.
I am currently looking for a good-to-very good 28mm, as much luminous as possible.
I want a 'normal' lens to continue improving my vision, and not so much my technique. 28mm in APSC gives a good field of view.
When I get some money back (I devoted some of my savings to the 'other camera') I will get the lens. My intention is to get a lens that I can use for both cameras, so my wife and I can take both when travelling, and exchange lenses.
I may keep one of the zooms for the Kx, and put the prime in the 'other'.
When I am alone I will be able to use any of them: automatic zoom, or manual prime.
I don't mind using primes for other mounts, with adapters. I'm not scared of manual using, and my focus is in quality. Primes for Pentax are not always cheap, so if I can save some money....
Anyway, I plan to set a Want To Buy topic in the classified forum, although I am already checking it everyday.
