Hi Everyone

Having used Pentax equipment for 30+ years I have eventually got round to joining the user group. Still better late than never.

I would like to enter some pictures into my portfolio and offer some for possible inclusion in the Gallery. I would be grateful if anyone could advise on any consraints on image size/resolution etc and any rules which may apply. I am sure this info must be available on the site somewhere but I have been unable to locate it.

Best regards

A couple of caveats about that. You can't Save For Web from a full sized image as the file size will exceed the limit. You need to resize shomewhat first. Image>Image size will take you to a dialog box where you can put in a new size. For web, the PU Gallery will not restrict you to 800 pixels but the forum will display your image better if you choose that size. The only thing you need to do for your purposes is pit 800 pixels in as the longest side of your image. The other figures will change accordingly. Let's keep it simple for now!

After resizing then you can Save For Web with no problems. Choose a quality level that gives you a file zsize of say 200-400K and you will get a fast upload.
Best regards,
John Riley

Hope this help.
