Just joined the group as I'm hoping ot invest in K-30 in the next week or so! Can't wait to get my grubby paws on it and start to fulfil a passion I've had for as long as I can remember!

I've, just joined the Pentax User forum myself & purchased a Pentax K30 a week ago, welcome onboard.
I think the K30 it is a stunning piece of kit.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Spiderman, which lenses did you get with your K-30? I'm still deliberating but have narrowed it down to a few choices.

Al, in the end I plumped for the Pentax 18-135 WR lens, as the standard Pentax kit 18-55 & the 18-55 WR versions haven't been that well rated by many of the reviews I'd read. I also wanted a single lens that had a decent zoom range I could keep on the camera for the majority of time, for any of those random photo opportunities that crop up whilst out and about.

After quite extensive online searching I bought my kit from clifton.cameras.co.uk, you'll be hard pressed to find a better price, from a UK based seller.

Hope this helps

Hi Spider-Man (brilliant User Name by the way! )

I've been trawling the internet and yes, you're right - Clifton Cameras do an excellent deal on the 18-135mm kit!

However, I've seen a deal for a 18-55mm and 18-300mm kit for under £700. In an ideal world I could get the 18-135mm and also a longer range telephoto, but at the moment it's not feasible. I could risk getting the body on it's own and trawling through classified and ebay I guess...
