Morning all. Just joined the ranks of slr users after purchasing a shiny new Pentax k-x yesterday. I've been using various bridge and higher end compacts for a while but got frustrated with their limitations and poor image quality. Looking forward to spending some time learning the ropes.

Thanks. Got the day off work, so if I can find something to power it, and I don't get too distracted by the World Cup, I'm going to chuck the manual in the bin and go for a wander and take some pictures...and then go fish out the manual after realising I don't know how to work the damn thing. Standard new tech practise.

I've been calling round a few local electrical stores but no-one seems to stock the Sanyo Eneloop batteries which seem to be the preferred rechargeable batteries. Does anyone know of any high-street retailers that stock them or any acceptable alternatives that are easily available? If not, I'll guess I'll just have to order them online but would like to buy a set of non-rechargeable batteries for use this weekend, again, any recommendations would be appreciated.

I thought I'd ask here as well just in case that was a dusty old part of the forum which no-one reads.
