Nice shot. I might have been tempted to use a reflector to bounce some of the sunlight up into the flower (a sheet of white paper works well!). Looks nice and sharp where it matters, however.

thanks womble! i didn't have such a reflector! So it's just sunlight as it reached the flower!

If you want just to direct a little bit of sunlight into a small area your hand will do OK in the absence of anything else reflective. I have used everything from an open book to cardboard from a sandwich box.

don't you think it was better if i had shot the entire plant? In this way it seems the flowers grows up from nothing...
