I'd be tempted to crop some of the track in the foreground. Just a thought.

I like it, nice light and shadows. The white cloud (? or halo?) behind the trees is slightly distracting.

A bit too strong for me Mike. It really is difficult trying to restrain yourself when tonemapping isn't it ? I usually overcook the sliders somewhat.

Nice composition Mike, but I'm afraid I agree with Rob in that it's a little too far down the HDR route for me

No problem at all, I am still on the fence where this one is concerned.
The blotchy sky is what really annoys me with it.

It was taken with the 16-50mm which I took out on it's own because I have not been 100% happy with it but at least it looks sharp enough.

I'm with you here, the halos around the branches brighten the sky too much. It's annoying as the scene is very nice
