I really like it - I think it would make an excellent desktop wallpaper.
Why does the upper right hand portion of the frame seem blurred? Is it an effect or result of a windy day etc.?

Lovely sky, and the beach/windbreak area had a olde worlde look about it. I much prefer this sort of HDR, where the colours look more muted, than the more lurid kind.
Thought it was going to be mono when I first saw the top of the pic. Is it my imagination, or does the sand in the middle look a bit 'swirly'? Makes my eyes go a bit funny.
With such a straight horizon, I would have been tempted to just use the best exposure for the beach, and the best for the sky, and just splice them together.

Does look nice in mono too, though I'm sure you've already tried that. With a bit of warm toning...

yes, blurred clouds because they were moving over the three exposures.

Yes, thanks for yr comments, I do agree with doing a sandwich, will try that next, good idea....

Wonderful image. Must go down to sea for some sunsets soon(weather permitting) mine never come out anywhere near like this so I gave up. Try again says a little voice in my head...

"Lurid" - good word that... It describes most of the HDR pictures I've seen, and is why I've always been relatively unimpressed with the technique....I much prefer this sort of HDR, where the colours look more muted, than the more lurid kind...
It also happens to be the exact thing this photo isn't. This just may be the best example of great HDR I've seen...
...Makes me believe that there just may be something to this HDR stuff after all...

I grew up overlooking Porthminster round the corner (it was a hard childhood )
I love this Lilly, It is my guess that simply splicing two images together at the horizon will look wrong and not half as impressive as this.

Anyway, looking for C&C on this one, I quite like it, the dramatic sky and mood, but still unsure of this HDR appreciation thing if you know what I mean and looking for feedback positive or otherwise!

PS) Why is it that even though I resized to 800 pixels wide the full width of my image is not being shown?
