My OH brought a sunflower seed back from a field in France. The seedling got eaten by slugs It has been so wet that we had a plague of slugs. They were so hard to control and they seem to be coming back. Time for some more nematodes.

Indeed, I wd need any army of hungry hedgehogs, seeing as our blackbirds and thrushes seem to be in decline

Chicken keeper at the organic urban farm goes round the vegetables picking up slugs into a bucket and feeds them to the chickens. Eggs from there taste wonderful

Correct, vegans won't eat any dairy produce because it is produced via animals and require the farming of animals to produce dairy ie milk cheese eggs etc., but I am not vegan - just vegetarian we can get eggs here that are fed on vegetarian diet!!!

But, why stop the chickens eating naturally? Plus, you can't guarantee what they eat. They will pick up and insect they see and gobble it.
A high protein diet produces much richer eggs, as long as they are not given cr@p. Grain and insects are all good for chickens.
Wouldn't mind having some chickens...

I agree, on both counts, but I just prefer to eat eggs from chucks that are not fed 'crap' and I have found that source and am happy with it, we all have our levels of how we handle what we eat and how.

Is there no swear fitler on this forum? Most other places I post I can't type crap without it being blocked or changed.
'Arse' or 'ass' on an other form I frequent gets changed to 'American bottom'. Anything else gets changed to 'bad use of language' which can make for some very funny sentences.
Oh and the MD of the company that runs the forum added the name of an R&D chap to the filter and it got changed for stupid (on the 1st of April). That caused quite a few problems as people started flaming the poor guy who didn't even post idiot, we had written the guy's name.

I don't know about a "swear filer" Tyr but I think you could do with a spell checker!

Oh, I do apologise I thought you meant 'filter' not 'filer'

Well, spell checkers only pick up on actual spelling mistakes. What I need is a context checker and anti-dyslexia tool set which doesn't exist (AFAIK).

They are superb. Divine. Scrumptious. Especially the souffle.
