No comments on this wonderful lens? Doesn't it get the LBA going in you all?

Gwyn,
I'm not sure about others, but reading white on black puts me off. Now you mentioned there's something special of the lens I read it

Well I can't do much about how Ned Bunnell sets up his blog, but I thought this was pretty exiting news for some people.
Obviously not.

It does sound an interesting lens but not one I'll have very high up my shopping list. The focal length is covered by my 12-24 at the same aperture, and I am plotting to buy the 43mm limited first as I can use that on my LX too.
Thank you for posting the interesting link though.
Cheers, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Plenty of people looked, no one commented. I was just curious why.
To say that white on black is the problem - well there is nothing I can do about that.
And why spoil the story from Mr Bunnell by naming the lens? I thought the title might peak interest, but seemingly things have to be spelled out.
I like his blog in any case, and if anyone is in the know it should be him.

I looked but I have to confess this isn't a lens that's very high up my list of wants either. In fact, unless you were going for an "all-Limited" set why would anyone buy it over the DA14/2.8? I'd have rather Pentax had spent their resources on getting the DA*30/1.4 onto the market a bit sooner but I'm sure they have their reasons...

From the point of view of sales, I'm not sure why a 400mm isn't higher up their list. When you listen to the "I didn't buy a Pentax because..." brigade, long fast lenses is one of the reasons they quote. We have an embarrassment of riches in the short to medium range.
Just my tuppence worth.

Gwyn, I didn't mean to be rude. But I spent a lot of time each day at monitors and honestly, I didn't even care to read the blog once I've seen the colours - my eyes literally hurt.
Later you made me curious (fortunately I'm not a cat) and I read it. The lens might be an interesting one, certainly, and the pictures taken with it looked promising, but... my DA 16-45mm almost covers that and is more versatile, while 15mm prime (in my case) would spent most of the time in a drawer. Thus no excitement on my side - but I appreciate sharing the link
