Found on a rocks in the garden

Took these lying down and pointing upwards

K5, Tamron 90, pentax af 160 ring flash.

Great detail - well worth the discomfort.

These must be related to shield bugs - their heads are the same shape with identical eye layout and they poke out of the carapace in exactly the same way.

Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
