Hama Universal IR Remote Release Mini 2

Posted 10/12/2007 - 14:06 Link
I am interested in this for my 10KD, but am not sure if it works in bulb setting. Having emailed the supplier with no response, two questions:
1 Anyone know the answer to the question
2 Any other alternatives for an inexpensive infra red remote release? The Hama is around £20.

Many thanks for any info

For about £20 you can get a genuine Pentax remote control F, which definitely does work for Bulb exposures. You just hold the button down for as long as you want the shutter open.

And it's smaller! It is worth looking at the Pentax one, really.

30,000 shots they claim for its life ISTR.

I unscrewed mine to see what was inside - it's just a standard cell so it would be easy to replace.

Many thanks for the replies. Will do further research but genuine Pentax would be preferable.
