Hello Barrie,'...do I take it you live in Cumbria?'
Certainly do! Sorry; haven't got around to filling in all the profile boxes yet. I'm from Workington, originally, but now live near Penrith and have done for 22 Years, with a few jaunts around the UK (and, indeed, the world) courtesy of work!
I'm on 'Flickr' as well as my web-site at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/russell_w_b
Sad or what...

Welcome to the forum Russell!
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.
Apparently.

It is indeed and there's something for everyone, but one has to be very careful not to take it for granted. It's all too easy to look out of the window, think 'doesn't Skiddaw look nice today', yawn, and retreat to bed!'...it looks a fabulous place to visit and we plan to do so in the near future.'
Many thanks for all your welcomes, BTW; much appreciated.

I am a Pentax MX user, mostly negative film these days, but I shot a slide-film last October; first one for ten years!
I still use the same MX as I bought in 1981, mostly with a 40mm 'pancake' stuck on the front. Other lenses (all PK SMC - usual stuff) are:
*50mm M f1.7
*135mm A f2.8
*200mm M f4
*28mm M f2.8
I'm loathe to part with my MX, despite the lack of immediate results and being in possession of a Canon digital P&S, as it's a solid, well-made thing that feels good, and I've had it serviced twice. I don't do prints now , but get the film processed and scanned onto CD at hi-res, and salt the negs away in a safe place. I have an Acer 'Scanwit' as well, allowing some electronic dark-roomery from negs and slides as required.
Regds,
Russell W. B.
