gx10 problems

hi, just received my gx10 today, trouble is, it is constantly under exposing , whetever I put the metering on, it just keeps under exposing shots, any ideas? thanks.

I set my k10d to +0.7 on the exposure compensation.

I think they do tend to underexpose but you'll soon get used to it.

You could start by doing some exposure tests, ideally a piece of nuetral grey card, but we dont all have one of those lying around, try an area of evenly lit grass. Start with a shot using multi segment metering, then centre weighted then spot, if the grass is evenly lit they should all be similar, do this several times to ensure the results are consistant, though bear in mind there will be some variation due to changes in the light.

From this you should be able to determine if the metering is faulty or simply in need of a bit of compensation, you can work out how much by dialing in various amounts until the grass looks correctly exposed.

This wont garuantee your exposures for other subjects but it is a good starting point
