AF260SA Flash on Pentax Km

Posted 02/10/2010 - 14:49 Link
I am using a Pentax AF260SA flash with my Pentax KM body and an 18-55 DAL lens (I also have a Tamron AS 18-250). What features will I not be able to use with this combination? Would I be better off with the AF200FG? (I can't justify the more expensive flash guns)

I did not know the 260SA worked at all on the KM. The AF200G is a nice compact gun that gives PTTL and TTL functions.

The AF260SA should work but will be seriously limited - you'll only be able to use it manually or by changing the ISO in order to change the aperture. At least, assuming that it works like other Program (before TTL was invented) flashes on a K-m.

Try using the camera in Program mode and see what happens, I know mine takes account of Program flashes when present.
