Hi,

We are looking to features both guest articles written by you if you want to share something with Pentax User (Plus), alternatively we would love to feature a "Member in the Spotlight" like in the magazines...

If you would be interested in either of these things, then please reply and let me know,

Thanks

Sorry that this was only revived by spam.

I think it would be a lot less tacky if the 'member in the spotlight' was approached by PU, and not the other way around. I'm sure lots of members here would be willing to share some details of their photography if they were asked nicely. Asking them to approach PU is not only lazy of PU, but will IMO result in many members keeping quiet for fear of appearing big-headed. C'mon 'joshwa', pick a few members whose photos you admire, and ask them to participate in the spotlight thing. Please do NOT limit it to people who approach you.

I agree with Tim. If you put yourself forward you could be suspected of being on an ego trip but if you're invited then it would be a great compliment.

It's not about what kit I've got, its about having the knowledge to use it to maximum potential.

Which is why he would be the perfect person to write an article. I believe his unique insights into photography would be beneficial to us all.

Chaps it's easy to see why some "newbies" can feel intimidated.
Despite what you guys chuck at me though, and you do whenever I come on here, I am sorrt to say it doesn;t bother me. I've done the learning curve and know my ability / talent will always put me in good stead.
Take as many pot shots as you l;ike with your fancy k5 and da lanse limiteds, please fire away.

I love his portfolio, it is well different, if he was sick on it it would sell for squillions at Sotherbys...

With that much money he could settle 10% of the US debts!
And here is what they write about him:
Quote:
PentaxExpert's work explores the relationship between gender politics and vegetarian ethics.

With influences as diverse as Kafka and Buckminster Fuller, new synergies are crafted from both simple and complex discourse.

Ever since he was a teenager he has been fascinated by the traditional understanding of the human condition. What starts out as vision soon becomes corrupted into a dialectic of futility, leaving only a sense of unreality and the unlikelihood of a new beginning.

As shimmering forms become clarified through studious and personal practice, the viewer is left with a new agenda of the darkness of our future.

This was a proper and sensible request for those who wanted to contribute - all this nonesense doesn't really help, does it?

Please get back on topic.
Best regards, John
