I think you can generally judge a crook/spiv by the thickness and diffuseness of the chalk stripe in his suit.

It would seem fair to me that a contract is made when they "accept" your payment otherwise if no dispatch is instigated at all they don't have a contract to fulfill, so how do you get your money back. After all if they have zero stock then they don't have to accept payment.

Have a read of "messups" Your Order link All online retailers seem to use very similar conditions. They all seem to take payment when they feel like sometimes they take it twice and you have to fight to get it back

It would seem that the only way a consumer can be sure to order and get an item is to order it off several suppliers and then cancel it from the others when one of them confirms it's been dispatched

I don't know why the sellers of 400mm + lenses generally can't include what camera the lens fits?

SIGMA 400mm 1:5.6 APO Tele Macro HSM which would be £300+ in Pentax fit went for ONLY £167 which is an absolute bargain. I suspect it was a Canon but also suspect that the other 250 people who looked at the list wouldn't know that and just moved on.
