I really think someone should take your camera away. Otherwise I'll be slitting my wrists, or at least hanging up mine for sure

What I need is a nice sunny day before they leave the nest so I can give it another try,they leave the nest hole so quickly it's a bit of a nightmare to catch them, let alone focus.

I've tried my hand at birds in flight, all I did was increase the shutter count on my camera and have frame after frame with nothing in
Have managed a couple of "acceptable" shots but wouldn't even consider trying for a woodpecker, I'm just happy enough to see one let alone grab a shot.

These two shot were taken at 1/1600 and I don't think it's fast enough.I suppose I could have increased the ISO a bit more.
