As usual you seem to be there when something is happening. The Kx shots look a bit noisy around the outside. Have you PP them that way?

Thanks Barrie. The Rabbit shot is a crop through trees. Wasn't sure I'd get a decent pic out of it. The edges are out of focus twigs, branches, etc.

On the squirrel lying down, the depth of focus is so narrow, I've cropped the rest of the body out. It didn't look good.

Maybe I should vignette.

Quality suffers a bit, nevertheless a great set again thanks to less frequently seen situations.

All at f7.1. First is 400mm and other two are at 440mm

#1 is cropped to about 1/9th of original size. #3 is about 1/6th.

Nice shots. I rather like the bunny - get plenty of them round my way but never seen any carrying a bundle of twigs like that

I prefer the last one as well - probably because it is a little unusual
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Hi Barrie - looked at these on a different monitor. I can see the noise now A combination of a large crop and high ISO.

I'll not apply noise reduction as annoyingly the photo will disappear off the forum.

Still please to have caught the action, as its behaviour that isn't often captured

I first saw this rabbit carrying a large twig into its burrow. The twig was massive, the size you'd expect a large bird of prey to be carrying to its nest. Thought I was seeing things. So I'm glad it went back out for more materials.

All the time it was accompanied by its partner who didn't carry a single thing.
