An area on the outskirts of Redruth in deep Cornish mining territory, Engine Houses and associated buildings left to ruin, should be good for wildlife when able to spend more time researching the area.

Particularly like the IR shots and the classic upview of that first one!

Often thought about having a K5iis converted (as I still have 2 of the little beauties)

I love the care and craftsmanship that went into the construction of even quite mundane industrial buildings.

Agree, plus everything was hand carved on site and mostly irregular shapes

We look at old industrial landscapes now and see them in a positive light. Yet not so long ago, when they were working, enlightened observers would no doubt have seen them as foul, polluting, nature-destroying monstrosities. It makes me wonder what people in a few hundred years time will make of some of the things we are doing today.
