maybe I just got carried away with the lighting and didn't present the flowers in the best composition..
they are actually a nice arraignment... lots of color but made to lay low in a rectangular container. nice on a table as it doesn't block your view or get knocked over when pouring the wine!

this BTW is shot with a k10 and 35 f2.4 lens at f22.

lighting was actually hard lighting done well so it looks softer than it really was...
gridded reflector from the top...
gridded snoot from behind....
ringflash for contrast control...
bare reflector throu a cookie on the backdrop, which is a plastic table cloth.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Beautiful. Superb lighting & I love the way the background complements / makes the shot.

Love the lighting, reflection in the glass cut down to a minimum. You like me then buy the other half flowers for love......I mean, to use as a photographic subjecy

Whats the numbers at the top mean :
When I decided to pursue more corporate gigs, esp with the video, I decided to incorporate. It is a numbered corporation.
When I make 10 million dollars on my first feature film, corporations pay less income tax than peoples.
The flowers were actually a gift... I was filming a web show for a designer and we had a florist for a guest.
She gave us the arrangement after they made it on the show.
I plastered the logo and copy right on it as I may decide to publish this one later.. haven't decided yet....

anybody wondering how the 35 2.4 performs? the 13x19 inch print is very nice and at f22 that was outside the lens's sweet spot of f 5.6-8

Nice light. I'm not convinced her right arm should be in shot or at least up high in the shot Don. It draws my eyes away from the arm, tattoo and eyes (in that order).

Best regards
