All worthy captures but, for me, the first reigns supreme with its 'spot on' exposure, hue and saturation and arresting combination of foreground detail in the spider and seed offset by the muted colours and shapes present in the out-of-focus background
Am I right in thinking that orb spiders are capable of giving a nasty bite with sufficient venom (:lol to cause several hours of pain and discomfort?

Great captures, but the first one is a beauty.

So that's where they went! Really like the 1st one, it stands out on the background better than the other shots, good sharp shot also.
C&C welcome.

Cheers Don. Yup, Baldivis is full of them while Perth is full of leggy blonds. So that's where they went! Really like the 1st one, it stands out on the background better than the other shots, good sharp shot also.

The macro end of the 70-210 is respectable, imo. The 100mm macro is obviously a better tool for the job yet the 70-210 has a broader application range if your on a budget.
