I think you show the differences between a pro and most amateurs - not only do you have images with great IQ, you also have a good variety of angles, excellent composition, and good exposures - many people won't appreciate how difficult it is to achieve these things at a gig - I do because I've failed several times

Really good stuff - thanks for sharing

Thank you. The link to the video shows just how difficult it is sometimes, I was amazwd I got what I did from the Crystal Castles gig. The focusing on the k-5 mkii truly is superb at low or non existent light...

Excellent set, saw them this morning on my mobile but thought I would wait until I got home so I could look at them properly.

It's all been said, nothing much more that I can add except keep up the good work and keep plugging away at Pentax/Ricoh.
Cheers
Brian.
LBA is good for you, a Lens a day helps you work, rest and play.

Great shots as per usual Gary! I find it very odd that Pentax aren't interested, your gig shots would be great advertising for them. Have you approached them since Ricoh took over?

You'd think Pentax would try to get a photographer of Gary's standard to do a promo video like the recent MX-1 video... Following him round Glasto etc etc...

Rock'n'Roll has always sold cameras... Even Robbie Williams sold a shedload of Nikon point+shoots!!

This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJSvWlrHnfU is the video I meant... A kind of K5ii rock'n'roll music photographers version with Gary Stafford would be great to see... Small clubs, big venues, massive festivals, low light, bright lights, 'celebs' and devil-horns!!!

Excellent shots. I was in the audience for one of the acts you photographed, if I've recognised The XX. We were near the back, so I didn't really get a good look at what was happening on the stage.

I didn't end up taking my Pentax SLR on site, but I did miss it from time to time, like at PIL. I enjoyed not carrying the weight round all day though.

Robert.
